Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Physician Family Financial Advisors, Inc. | Effective Date: April 7, 2026
|
The short version We don't sell your personal information. We don't share it with third parties for their own marketing. If you've visited our website, you may see ads from us on Meta platforms, but that data is processed through our own privacy-protective infrastructure, not handed over to advertising companies directly. You have the right to opt out of that, and this page explains how. |
We don't sell your personal information
Physician Family Financial Advisors doesn't sell personal information to data brokers, advertisers, or any other third parties. We're a fee-based financial advisory firm. Our business is serving physician families, not selling data.
We don't share your data for third-party marketing
We don't give your personal information to third parties so they can market their own products to you. The only companies that see your data are the tools we use to run our own business: our email platform, our scheduling tool, our payment processor, and our website host. You can read more about each of these in our Privacy Policy.
What about our advertising?
Here's where it gets a little more nuanced, and we want to be transparent about it.
If you've visited physicianfamily.com, you may see ads from us on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram). This is called remarketing. We're showing ads to people who've already expressed interest in our services by visiting the site.
To do this, we use Meta's advertising tools. However, the way our site is set up, your data doesn't go directly from your browser to Meta. Instead, it flows through our own server first. Before anything is shared with Meta, your identifying information (like your email address or IP address) is hashed, meaning it's converted into an unreadable encrypted code. Meta receives the hashed version, not your actual personal information.
We think this is an important distinction, and it's why we'd describe our advertising setup as privacy-protective rather than the standard approach. But we understand that some people don't want to be included in remarketing audiences at all, regardless of how the data is handled. That's a reasonable preference, and you have the right to opt out.
How to opt out
You have a few options for opting out of our remarketing audiences:
|
Option 1: Email us directly Send an email to contact@physicianfamily.com with the subject line 'Opt Out of Remarketing.' We'll remove you from our advertising audiences within 10 business days and confirm when it's done. |
|
Option 2: Use Global Privacy Control (GPC) Global Privacy Control is a browser-level signal that tells websites you prefer not to have your data shared or used for advertising. You can enable GPC through privacy-focused browsers or browser extensions. We honor GPC signals as a best practice. When we detect one, we treat it as a request to opt out of remarketing. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org. |
|
Option 3: Platform-level controls You can also manage your ad preferences directly on Meta platforms. Meta provides tools to opt out of interest-based advertising and to manage your Off-Facebook Activity. Visit facebook.com/settings and navigate to Ads to manage these preferences. |
Why we're including this page
We want to be straightforward about this: Physician Family Financial Advisors doesn't currently meet the thresholds that would legally require us to include this page under California's privacy law (CCPA/CPRA) or Oregon's Consumer Privacy Act.
We're including it anyway for a few reasons:
- As of early 2026, 19 states have passed comprehensive privacy laws with similar opt-out rights. That number continues to grow, and we'd rather stay ahead of it than scramble to catch up.
- The physician families we serve value transparency and compliance. Providing this option is consistent with the kind of firm we want to be.
- Some state privacy laws define 'sharing' broadly enough to include remarketing activity even without a direct monetary exchange. We'd rather be proactive.
If you have questions about any of this, email us at contact@physicianfamily.com. We're happy to walk you through anything on this page.
